As we approached through the morning mist, Fair Isle emerged like a forgotten world - isolated, pristine, and utterly breathtaking in its remoteness.
With only 45 permanent residents, every person on Fair Isle has a story. The community's resilience and connection to this remote land is inspiring.
Walking across the island's five-kilometer expanse, we discovered dramatic cliffs, hidden valleys, and the profound silence that only true remoteness can provide.
