Four years ago today, and we are back in Cape Town, South Africa - a city that has captured our hearts across multiple visits, each one revealing new layers of this magnificent destination at the southern tip of Africa.

Our Cape Town Journey Through the Years

Table Mountain: The Soul of Cape Town

๐Ÿ”️ At 3,500 feet above sea level, Table Mountain is the oldest mountain on Earth - 6 times older than The Himalayas!
Table Mountain Summit
Irresistible, is a good way to describe it. The rocks at the summit reminded me of Honningsvรฅg Norway and the Arctic Circle glacier stones - truly amazing. Happy to duplicate the Christ the Redeemer Art Deco statue pose of Jesus Christ in Rio at this sacred summit.

Arctic Circle

Here in North Cape, in the Arctic Circle, looks to me a lot like Table Mountain

Experience Table Mountain

"Hope lies on Table Mountain - the exact vista that Nelson Mandela looked out from his prison on Robben Island that kept him going. It is an important piece of SA culture I will take back with me and share the legacy."

Cape Town: Where Every Return Feels Like Coming Home

Each visit to Cape Town has been a revelation. From our first glimpse during the 2011 world cruise - a brief but unforgettable 3-day stopover - to our more recent extended stays, this city continues to surprise and enchant us. The Mother City has a way of getting under your skin, calling you back with its perfect blend of natural beauty, rich history, and warm hospitality.

Whether we're standing atop Table Mountain, sharing the same view that gave Nelson Mandela hope during his imprisonment, or simply enjoying our ocean view from The Table Bay Hotel, Cape Town offers experiences that resonate long after departure. It's more than a destination - it's a feeling, a connection to something larger than ourselves.
