The feminist movement is worried about the fatherhood movement. The California National Organization for Women recently issued a 95-page report called Disorder in the Courts: Mothers and Their Allies Take on the Family Law System, in which they warn "the fathers' rights movement has been gaining strength and legitimacy. Fatherhood groups are well-funded, well-organized and publicly supported through conservative mouthpieces in the media." In the report, many prominent figures in the Feminist Family Law Movement (FFLM) call for a "mothers' rights movement" to block the rising fatherhood movement.

Double standard? Do we as a society hold men to a tough guy, football hero, and grid-iron standard of never allowing them to melt down under pressure, like women so often do? One certainty is that for the millions of average, non celebrity divorced fathers across the country facing similar painful struggles with their former spouses who are trying to incorporate their kids into their lives while they are expected to be the “big breadwinners”, rants like Baldwin’s are not uncommon. Are men actually allowed to experience helpless and angry feelings and yet never, ever breakdown under personal pressures? I’m not talking about hitting someone over the head with a baseball bat here, but of pure and regrettable, childish out of control verbal ranting?

As much as I didn’t care at first about this whole debacle, at the moment I would definitely love to have a reality TV show based on this family. Isn’t the real viewing entertainment after the breakup occurs ? Nick and Jessica were the Newlyweds, isn’t it time for a nice reality show about a child custody battle between two Hollywood stars ? They have to live in the same house until the custody battle is completed. Could it really get any better than that ? Maybe the finale is the child voting one of the parents out of the house ??

hen is the judicial system going to wake up and do its job? We now have a cafeteria style legal system, wherein the authorities can pick and choose which laws they are going to enforce. I am appalled by what I’ve seen transpire in Family Court. The “mothers” do not have to follow any of the Court’s orders and even worse, are not being held accountable for their bad behavior. Women are allowed to abuse the process by making false allegations, without a shred of evidence to support the allegation, knowing that all you have to do is breath the word “abusive” in the courtroom and dad’s rights to his children are immediately taken away. You are now guilty until proven innocent, but good luck with that once you’ve been stigmatized as “abusive”. It’s a downhill battle from there, as you’ve now been falsely accused of being something that you’re not, conveniently at the same time your marriage happened to fall apart. Who wouldn’t lose their temper? There should be question as to the credibility of these women who claim to be “victims” when all the while they are the ones victimizing the men. Women are using their children as pawns in order to gain the upper hand in divorce proceedings and it all revolves around money. A father is ORDERED to pay support, but allowed to see his children??? The judges spout off about the best interests of the children, but since when has alienating a child from a parent in a child’s best interest? Lets see how women would react if somebody alienated one of their children from them. When you constantly push somebody’s buttons, you will eventually get a reaction. Our system is in dire need of an overhaul!

If Don Imus deserved firing for what he said about the Rutgers' womens b-ball team, doesn't Alec Baldwin deserve to be fired from 30 Rock for calling his eleven year old child a "rude, thoughtless little pig"?
Such vicious verbal abuse of one's pre-teen child strikes me as at least as bad as what Imus did, if not worse.
