After an overnight in JFK's TWA Hotel,  and a swim in their infinity pool, the  short 6 hour flight to London was a breeze.

Back home with Sarah and  The Kin, including our Scottish terrier, Skyelark. Born in America, and returning to her ancestral homeland.

Pandemic Travel...

Although we vaccinated,  before departure, The Passenger Locator Form for The U.K. must be filled out. It requires:  that I pre pay for  three  Covid tests; for test to release- and quarantine for 10 days.

I had to have both the rapid and the 24 antigen test to fly...so this has been all about Covid testing. The plane had 53 people onboard.. It is understandable considering the barriers to entry.

The 1960's...we spent a typical night watching The Beverly Hillbillies or Bonanza. We payed 70 cents to meet James Bond played by Sean Connery for the first time in Dr. No. Here in the TWA Hotel, we get the nostalgia. So what happened to TWA? It struggled with high fuel prices in the 1970s and — after deregulation of the airlines — competition from low-fare carriers in the 1980s. Corporate raider Carl Icahn bought it and sold many routes. American Airlines bought TWA out of bankruptcy in 2001 and retired the name.
In Palm Beach with Skyelark, her first flight in an airplane at just the young puppy age of 15 weeks.
