Chance favors the connected mind

Nicaragua's analog eyes don’t see our digital world. But does it matter. Internet or InterNOT? Traveling in places with out  "switch"  in rural poverty  are not voyages of discovery, but rituals of reassurance- I won the lottery!  It may be karaoke capitalism but I can still belt out a few notes from Bruce Springsteen hit song, "I was born in the USA"

The Espresso Imperialist--- Waking  Up to the Smell of Class Struggle-never did get the Contra /Sandinista thing. I wish Ronald Reagan were alive to ‘splain it to me. Oh well (shrug), I'll just move to the Internet, its great here. I  get to live inside where the weather is always awesome.Only on the Internet can a person be lonely and popular at the same time.
TV was my  babysitter,
but the Internet is a drunk librarian
who won't shut up

If you are over 30, please leave this blog.(I'm talking about the habit of aging-not the actual #) Hotel @nyware might not be older age appropriate. I don’t think it’s in this blogs DNA to really do business with mature people, especially those who speak with a social media stutter. Oh wait, 50's the new 30.I prove that everyday by my "contributions" to twitter, FB and Blogger.

Eureka! I found the fountain of youth---the secret of staying young isn't lying about your age, it's living in America, having a cell phone, an internet connection and using social media.

Listen up Screenagers! If you don't  remember dial up, or have  ever read a real newspaper, you wouldn't see the similarities to being on a cruise ship. Please read my post:
I thought I'd Change my mind today
but instead I changed my shirt

 Sweden-The Power Of New

Excerpt:  The difference between bits and atoms-
Boom! The napsterization of cutting out the middleman, the tivoization time shifting of on-demand entertainment , plus the CNN effect, the 24 hour news cycle were all emerging, and here was The Oracle, Visionary and Digital Pathfinder Negronponte, predicting that Computing is not about computers anymore. It is about living. In fact,  I took his "Daily Me" concept of a virtual daily newspaper customized for an individual's tastes and created this  blog based on things I would like to read, where "everyone is my neighbor" Hence the Title: Hotel @nyware.

Being Digital,  where the world is flat and decentralized, making things bigger and smaller at the same time was the future, and the future is already here---it's just not evenly distributed yet like in place in Nicaragua, the second poorest country in Latin America next to Haiti. Yet there is DetermiNATION and dignity here- I like it.

Nicaragua's analog eyes don’t see our digital world. But does it matter. Internet or InterNOT? Traveling in places with out  "switch"  in rural poverty  are not voyages of discovery, but rituals of reassurance- I won the lottery". As Bruce Springsteen says, "I was born in the USA"

So with, curiosity, vulnerability and vocabulary, I will articulate the Nicaragua sound bite. These ppl  are so sweet and charming, Yet they are the digital homeless, who couldn’t tell you the difference between google and facebook, a laptop or an ipad. The largest experiment in anarchy that we have ever had is not the internet, it's right here-everyday in the streets . My conscious, however, permits me to love them.

Having a coffee in a local cafe tastes so much better because the internet is up to speed here on land, but can be as slow as the old dial up-it's Rural Connectivity.

The internet is not  just a source of information it is a source of disinformation; and, more than that, most of the information is not knowledge, it's opinion, or worse yet alienated exerience. It can feel real, but people are real, not the information. My travel by proxy is the menu not the meal, the statue, not the saint, the map, not the territory. You cannot create experience. You must undergo it.

My blog is a collection of answers people don’t want to hear to questions they didn’t ask. Yet, every act of perception is to some degree an act of creation, and every act of memory is to some degree an act of imagination-Write? Right.

The net  can sometimes be a waste of time, and that's exactly what's right about it. yet. This malignant optimism can create the happy accident-- you can get lucky 100% of the time 1 time--and that's all it takes to make your mind style get in sync with your life style--Furthermore, your lifestyle will determine your death style-

My 3lb universe-the brain inside my head has limitless number of connections it can make. Nerons that wire together fire together and I have developed matrixes and networks of people that I communicate “electronically with. I pilot myself in this space and I find that the real action has switched from the static books and thick and heavy Encyclopedia Britannica’s to communicating in screens., activating and transmitting my brains, and I feel infinitely more intelligent and lucky for it.

Chance favors the connected mind.
