The Urban Monk is an attitude, no strings attached, living in this world but not of this world, telecommuting at location neutral, Hotel @nyware from a t-mobile hot spot at Starbucks USA.

In the United States of unconscious living, TV was a movable feast, and the food was terrible and the portions too small. Yet more American Guys couldn't ’t get enough of what they didn’t want, didn’t need and didn't know. —S.A.D. the Standard American Diet of Uncle Sam’s unhappy default mode of eating the same stuff over and over again; and expecting a different result--PUSH MEDIA. The Menu is NOT the meal, and

Getting what you expect is boring.

TV is no longer entertainment. The high Priest of pop culture is no longer Marshall McLuhan The medium is not the message. The mess is the message and the U in user is the Person of the year--When the gods(Google =God) have important messages to deliver, it seems they often chose rather flawed messengers. Maybe it's their way of trying to insure that we humans won't confuse the message with the messenger.

Cable is no better, theIN to our sane. Our shared hallucination about the American TV menu is similar to “we are what we eat” ---consisting of two choices: Take it or leave it. Satellite is the disease of more, the road less traveled, the PSYCHO Path. If the internet's mantra is "Information is free", than TV's is: Procrastinate NOW! TV is not a how to, but why do anything at all. Staring at a light bulb.

Ignorance is blistering. Imagine someone of average intelligence. Now consider that half the TV world is dumb and dumber. They, the anonymous no one were wrong---. Laziness is not the religion of the 21st century Blogger. We have more leisure than money. “Procrastinate Now”

It would be easier to change our religion than our steady diet of fast food, 24 hour news cycle, the CNN effect of knowing everything the napsterization of cutting out the middleman, the tivoization of on demand time-shifted-content.

Goggle is god. And YouTube has put the ODD back into god. The randomness of it all is too important to be left to chance. Blog. Post. Upload. Podcast. Stand and deliver. The way is to act not compete. You're either part of the steamroller or part of the pavement.

He who hesitates is not only lost, but several miles from the next freeway exit.

Web 2.0 is full of magical rides patiently waiting for our wits to test drive.
